{The 30 Day Snap}

So, over on the blog Sprinkle of Glitter, Louise has decided to do what she has labeled as The 30 Day Snap. This is where everyday for 30 days she will take a photograph of her day and upload it. And she has challenged or tagged all of her readers to do the same. What a great idea! So, beginning on June 1st, I will also post a photo of my day... everyday. Fingers crossed I can make until the end of the month. Ha!

You are more than welcome to join in on your blog, facebook, instagram or twitter.

{Never Again}

Flats: Lane Bryant | Pants and Tank: Old Navy | Sweater: Cato | Watch and Bracelet: Gift

Have you ever picked an item out of your closet and wondered why you haven't worn it in forever? Then, you decide to wear it to work only to realize after an hour, exactly why you don't wear it anymore? That is this open-knit sweater. Terrible! It is so scratchy. Well, I guess this is just another item to go into my Salvation Army donation bag... hopefully someone else will get on better with this sweater than I did.

{Monthly Favorites | April}

I have been absolutely drawn to this deep pink nail polish Undercover by Wet n Wild. I never imagined I would start liking the color pink in any form… but this shade of pink is just the perfect shade of pink for my skin tone. Over the last month, this has be come a neutral color for me.

One day I was just wandering around Target, as you do… and I came across Target’s version of Clean & Clear’s Morning Burst cleanser. Target’s Up & Up Invigorating Facial Cleanser is about half the cost of the name brand cleanser but just as good. The vitamin C and ginseng really does give you a little boost in the morning… and it is oil free. There are two things that need to be said about this cleanser though: 1. The cleanser can leave your face a little bit dry. If you have very oily skin like me, it is great start to keeping my face matte most of the day. 2. After the first few days of using the cleanser, I noticed some spots on my face. Making the decision to continue to using it, the spots cleared up within days and it has been clear since then. I’m assuming it was cleaning the impurities from my skin.

These next two favorites go hand-in-hand. Benefit’s “It’s Potent!” eye cream and Simple’s Revitalizing eye roll-on are two samples I received from Birchbox (from two separate months). The results of these products have been amazing but starting these to two samples at the same time maybe have been a mistake. Over the last 2 years, my undereye area has become extremely dark… an increased amount of traveling and stress has not help it, I’m sure. Since I started using these two products, not only has the skin under my eyes lightened up drastically but the texture of the skin is completely back to normal. Ah-Mazing!! I can’t tell if the results I am seeing is due to the eye cream or eye roll-on… or if is a combination of the two of them. Either way, I will have no problem repurchasing one or both of these products if need be.

Need a super rich nourishing all-over body moisturizer? Try Kiehl’s Crème de Corps. This is another amazing sample from Birchbox… and it is the prefect small handbag size cream. I have yet to take the leap and purchase a full size bottle. It is quite expensive. But it is only a matter of time before I do.

I have never been much of a mask kind of person for some reason. The thought of using a hydrating mask on my very oily face just seemed absurd to me. A friend give me this Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask near the beginning of the month and I can not believe the difference it has made. Who knew oily skin still needed to be hydrated?
Not me, that’s for sure.

What’s been your favorite products in April?
