{Extras | Christmas Treats}

{Hot Chocolate Spoons}

One of the best parts of the Christmas season has to be all of the delicious treats people are making. Much like everyone else nowadays, my go-to place for food ideas and receipes is Pinterest. Follow me on Pinterest here. I have made many Christmas treats this year, however these five Pins have been my favorite so far.

{Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels}

{Spiced + Spiked Apple Cider}

{Candy Cane Marshmallows}

{Peppermint White Russian. I did not actually make this drink... but I did bring the idea and the candy canes. Ha.}

{Extras | Other Christmas Faves}

{Xmas Blues by Quad City. It doesn’t really feel like Christmas until I hear this on the radio.}

We all have those top Christmas movies/TV Shows and music that when asked, we give the same titles over and over again… I know I do. See here for movies and here for songs. As many times as I watch and listen to my top faves, it just would not feel like Christmas without these other favorites.

{Jiggle All the Way. This movie is so hilarious.}

{A Charlie Brown Christmas}

{Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas sung by just about anyone}

{The Muppet Christmas Carol}

{Extras | Christmas Songs}

{1. O Holy Night sung by David Phelps}

 Christmas is my favorite holiday. This time of year usually involves a lot of lounging around in hoodies, jeans, and fuzzy socks... which suits my introvert personality perfectly. This year there are so many Christmas themed events, meetings, and parties on my calendar that I'm starting to get a little concerned. Ha! Not really but I have a lot going on this year. I am very much in the Christmas spirit. However in order to motivate myself into getting ready for these events, Christmas music is an absolute necessity. Although some of the artists have changed over the years, these are my top five Christmas songs.

{2. Carol of the Bells sung by just about anyone}

{3. White Christmas sung by The Drifters}

{4. All I Want For Christmas is You sung by Mariah Carey}

{5. Mary Did You Know sung by just about anyone}

{Birchbox | September}

September's Birchbox hit the mark for me with just one product. I have wanted to try Benefit's the POREfessional(6) for ages but could not bring myself to spend $29 on something I wasn't certain would work on me... and I had yet to find a sample worth buying. I am so glad I waited to purchase this product. While it is an OK item, this is definitely not something I would have been happy about, had I spent my money on it outside of Birchbox. The Kate Spade fragrance Twirl(5) is not bad but it doesn't rank very high in my opinion. There is something about the floral notes that are a little off-putting. What can I say about the Lifestyle Extra Tilli bag(4)? You can never have enough of these TSA approved plastic bags when traveling. I had heard a few bloggers and vloggers talking about these Twistband hair ties(3) prior to getting this one. These hair ties do everything as advertised however there is no way I would pay $18 for a set of 12. This cobalt blue Color Club nail polish(2) matches the color of my car perfectly... other than that, there isn't much to say about it. As for the Nexxus Pro-Mend Split End Treatment system(1), I have yet to try these products...

{Extras | Life via Phone Pics}

1. My current soup obsession: Broccoli & Cheddar.
2. The 15 minutes of down-time my niece had at the Company Picnic.
3. Thank God we only got wind and a bit of rain from Hurricane Sandy.
4. Jason Ellis from Hell's Kitchen doing a guest appearance in Wal-Mart... random...
5. It has been ages since I've eaten kettle-cooked Salt & Vinegar chips. What a great reunion.
6. Attended quite a few "home parties" over the last few weeks. From all the gifts I have received, the Lia Sophia gift has to be the best... I may actually order something...
7. Absolutely love the inexpensive flats at Rugged Warehouse. I wear flats almost everyday and I find these flats last an amazingly long time. If you can't read the sticker, these are $7.99... and yes, I bought them.
8. The search begins for a dress for the Company Christmas party.
9. 3 words: Discounted Halloween candy.

{Music: The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Found this CD in my truck as well... and yeah, I always jump back and forth between genres of music.}

This week was spent relaxing due to the multitude of events that went down over the weekend. Between my Alma mater's Homecoming, a few Fall Festivals, and two parties, relaxation more like sleep is exactly what I needed. I'm so glad I had the forethought to request Monday off from work in anticipations of such a fun yet tiring weekend.

{Nails: Wet n' Wild - Haze of Love and The Gold & the Beautiful}

{TV Show: Revenge. After two recommendations, I started watching this show and ended up watching all 22 episodes of the first season which is available on Watch Instantly on Netflix within a few days.}

{Food: All my favorite items from Wendy's dollar value menu. Lets be honest, there isn't hardly anything on their menu that is a dollar anymore.}

{Vlogger: The SacconeJolys from LeFloofTV. Of all the daily vloggers I watch, Jonathan and Anna have to be the most entertaining.}
